Setting up two-factor authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your UNOCU account. We strongly recommend enabling it.

How to enable 2FA

  1. Go to Settings → Security
  2. Under Two-Factor Authentication, click Enable
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password)
  4. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm
  5. Save your recovery codes in a secure location

Recovery codes

When you enable 2FA, you'll receive a set of one-time recovery codes. Store these safely — if you lose access to your authenticator app, these codes are the only way to regain access to your account.

Supported authenticator apps

Any TOTP-compatible authenticator works: Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password, or Bitwarden.
